Submarine Centenary

Along with the centenary of the Great War, 2014 marks the centenary of Submarines in Australia. To commemorate their 100 year history, a number of activities, conferences and commemorative services have been organised in Fremantle this November. A fitting location as Western Australia is the home of Australia's Submarine Force (SUBFOR) and remains a place of significance for the submarines and submariners who served and operated from Fremantle.

These commemorative events are a joint effort between the Submarine Association Australia (SAA), the Submarine Institute of Australia (SIA), the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and the Submarine Force (SUBFOR). For further information visit
